GRADUM GSWING
Trendyn Motley case study
When Trendyn Motley first walked into our Gradum Charlotte facility as a middle school athlete, his mission was clear: Take his game to the next level, commit to a big-time college, or get drafted out of high school. He came to the right place. We broke down his swing, captured every metric, and built a game plan designed to put him on the radar of scouts early.Â
Where Trendyn's swing started
At the start, Trendyn already had standout bat speed and athletic movements. But he wasn’t using his legs efficiently, and his steep barrel path left him with a small margin for error, a fla that doesn’t play at the highest level. We got to work fixing these, which allowed him to unlock big-time power and consistency in his swing.
The Transformation
Two years later, everything looks different. Trendyn now:
1. Uses his legs efficiently
2. Maintains an elite barrel path
3. Moves with world-class efficienc in his swing
The results show up everywhere. He earned a spot on varsity as a freshman, hit 3 home runs during the season, and landed a spot with Canes National — one of the premier summer ball organizations in the country. He’s now ranked as a Top 50 player in the 2028 class by multiple outlets, including Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
The Results speak for themselves
When Trendyn started at Gradum, he was hitting balls in the mid-80s exit velocity range and driving balls just over 300 feet — with some inconsistency.
Now, he’s driving balls 100+ MPH and 400+ feet — and transfered i in-game with a bomb measured at triple digits over 400 feet this summer.
Future Looks Bright
Trendyn’s only going into his sophomore year, and this is just the beginning. With the foundation he’s built, the future is bright. His transformation proves what happens when talent meets the right plan — and with results already elite, his ceiling is sky-high.
